After a very very busy 2012, we’re taking a rest from playing shows for just a little bit. Look out for some spring 2013 shows though, just around the corner. And maybe a new record. And maybe an old record of ours on vinyl for the first time…. MAYBE!

It’s been a killer few weeks for us, so thanks to everyone who came to the Band of Horses shows, Columbia SC, & the Emerald Lounge in Asheville the other night. Epicness!

Two dates left on the 2012 calendar, but they’re no joke — 12/29 with My Morning Jacket (in NY) and, JUST ANNOUNCED, NEW YEAR’S EVE at JACK OF THE WOOD with the dynamic duo known as ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, fellow east-coasters, for an unreal ride of a week-long tour. There were ups & downs, but mostly ups, and thanks to everyone who was right there with us. We’ll do it again soon.

We’ve been jamming away on our djembes in excitement over Floating Action’s newest record — “Fake Blood” — being released in the late summer of 2012!

Even more exciting is that it’s a partnership between Harvest Recordings (Asheville, NC) and REMOVADOR Recordings & Solutions … Removador is the record label of Jim James (of My Morning Jacket)! Jim is a big fan and a friend and has been very supportive of Floating Action in recent years.

The album will be available in a limited-to-500 LP pressing, on CD, and digitally. More details soon.
